The bond between man and dog is really special. Bonzo expanded my perception on how special that bond can be. He was loyal, funny, talkative, and most of all eunthuesiastic. He lived to spend every moment possible with @cheechilia and me. If I left the room while he was asleep, he would frantically run around the house to find me. Outside, he would run around, but constantly check back in with a big goofy smile. Everytime I came home, he greated me like I just got back from deployment. I can't express how much love he gave me. He made me feel like the most important thing in the world. It didn't matter if we were on the streets of San Francisco, the 110° desert, or freezing in a tent. He was just happy to be with his people.

I started playing chess casually in 2021. About two years ago, I decided to take it more seriously with the big goal of 2000 rapid. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn. This week, I crossed 2200 rapid and 2000 blitz on chess.com. I'm proud of the work it took to get here and excited to see how much further I can go.

Although Triple Crown was canceled, I was eager to push myself to climb my 10 hardest boulders in a day. I think it's the best ways to start the season. I decided last minute to compete in the Rockin the Rocks after doing several boulders. It was an epic day, including many repeats and a few new climbs. I tried so hard...

@cheechilia and I spent our honeymoon in the beautiful forest and town of Fountainbleu, France. Fountainbleu is the birthplace of bouldering. French mountaineers used these boulders to train for the mountains for over a century. There are historical climbs at nearly every grade. I decided to focus on boulders thought to be the first of the grade.

Seite is found up the runnel left of Mystified at Hospital Boulders directly above Seis. I saw and cleaned this bouder over a year ago, but it seemed way too hard. Big thanks to @harley_s_mathews for cleaning the holds further right. Without his vision, I would never climb this boulder. About the grade, I found many ways that could work, but the easiest way for me used extremely reachy beta. This beta felt like V7 to me.
I've looked at Stringray many times, but I never tried it. I imagined a HP40 V9 focused around one mantel move would feel impossible. I didn't realize how well it suited me until I tried it. It rewards reach, hip flexibility, and HP40 experience. I can't believe I sent it on my 6th attempt. by @m_beazy

Triple Crown was incredible. HP40 boulders feel great when you climb them well, but they punish mistakes. I climbed the best I could, and I did more hard moves than I ever have in one day. The day concluded with a send* (questionable start) of Millipede wearing oven mitts. Thank you @horse_pens_40 @seclimbers @bhamboulders @highpointclimbing @triplecrownbouldering @lasportivagram for an incredible event. Congratulations to all the winners, and especially to @cheechilia 🥈.
