Wrapped up another year of summer ball. Jake had a chance to play with new teammates and catch up with some old friends. A lot of highlights and some great opportunities to grow. Officially wrapping up our junior year of sports, moving into senior year. Proud of this kid and how hard he works and cannot wait to see what this next year holds for him. Big victory for the Legion team on a hot, sticky night in Manitowoc. It was a great all-around efforts and it was capped off by a long wall shot to left by Jake. Fun watching these guys play, and hard to believe we’re at the tail end of the season already. It was such a special weekend in Eau Claire. Had a chance to celebrate a weekend tournament with some of the original baseball families from all those years ago. Maria and I feel incredibly blessed that Jake decided to take up the sport of baseball because not only did he make some incredible friends, we’ve met some special parents. We had a lot of baseball, a lot of sweating a lot of exploring Eau Claire (UW and the city) and a ton of laughs. Max and his buddy Charlie, and some of their other friends, left on an adventure this week to spend some time in Tennessee. Love that all these guys are still intentional with their friendships and make time for each other and adventures. I always love looking at the pictures of them growing up, and the different hairstyles, both of them have had over the years. Another weekend of baseball in the books and bringing home another tournament championship. Great weekend up in Marinette with Jake’s team. They keep the streak alive, going 4-0 on the weekend with a great victory over Watertown in the championship game today. What an incredible weekend of baseball. I always consider myself blessed when I’m able to spend the weekend at the ballpark. We had phenomenal weather and the boys brought home their first tournament championship of the season. It really is a great team with some phenomenal players and just genuinely nice kids. After a long drive home, Max took me to the new He-man movie. I felt so old as I tried to explain the movie to him and talking about the action figure figures that I had. #hillmerbrothers #bigpapi #championship These boys have been playing baseball together for a very long time. The Legion season kicked off this week,three games in three nights and three victories. Just love watching these guys play. A lot of talent on this team and just some really fun people to be around.
