Hi! This is me. And this is the craft. A space where editorial meets human. Where structure leaves room for feeling. And beauty only matters if it’s honest. Save your judgment for the final slide. Trust me. xo, M. Milo. #zurichweddingphotographer #editorialphotography #modernlove #craftedwithintention by @m_milo___
I like control. until I don’t. I love building a photograph. Thinking about colour, shape, proportion, where a body sits inside a frame and what happens when one element meets another. I want an image to feel considered enough that it could have come straight out of a magazine. But once everything is in place, I usually want to mess with it a little. Because I never want all that direction to polish away the person in front of me. The photographs I’m after are curated, but not sterilised. There should still be movement, personality, an expression I couldn’t have planned, hair doing whatever it wants - something that reminds you there was an actual human being inside that very carefully composed frame. Projects like this give me the space to keep exploring exactly that balance between images that feel highly considered and people who still feel entirely like themselves. For our final look, we added a vintage @gucci dress, took off the shoes and let @alison.uetz move through @tabeamarialisa ’s floral world until the compositions started becoming a little less obedient. That tension between control and letting go? Probably where I feel most at home. #BridalPhotography #FilmWeddingPhotography #BridalFashion #AnalogPhotography #SwissWeddingPhotographer Photography + Creative Direction: @m_milo___ Floral Design + Concept: @tabeamarialisa Film scans: @thefilmlab.ch @camerastore_zurich Make-Up + Hair: @sinemyavsaner Bridal Fashion for the project: @isa.belle_boutique featuring @mwlbride + @daalarnaofficial Dress featured in this carousel: vintage @gucci Model: @alison.uetz by @m_milo___
Lake Zurich wedding portraits, except the lake did half the styling. Hard summer sun, deep blue water, a white veil doing whatever it wanted, houndstooth, champagne, motion blur, black and white, and a little analogue film in between. One of my favourite things about a city wedding in Zurich is using the journey between places as part of the photographs. No separate shoot, no disappearing for an hour. Just taking what is already happening and pushing it a little further. So, if your wedding day happens to include a boat on Lake Zurich: maybe don’t think of it as just the transfer. It might end up looking suspiciously like an editorial. #LakeZurichWedding #ZurichWeddingPhotographer #EditorialWeddingPhotography #SwissWeddingPhotographer #FilmWeddingPhotography Photography: @m_milo___ Film scans: @thefilmlab.ch @camerastore_zurich Dress: @zoro.zurich brand: @wona_concept Venues: @alexlakezurich @storchenzurich @kunsthauszuerich Make-Up and Hair: @constanze_makeupandhair Bridal Bouquet: @blueten_meer_ Suit: @suitsupply Shoes: @manoloblahnik + @bobbieshomme by @m_milo___
670 years on weinplatz, and the storks still have the best room in the house. a zurich wedding at storchen: apéro on the nest rooftop at golden hour, dinner under the chandeliers. shot on digital and 35mm, from the last sun on the roof to the last blur of the night. for everyone planning "something small". photography @m_milo___ venue @storchenzurich floral design @philippvonarxflorist film scans @thefilmlab.ch @camerastore_zurich by @m_milo___
some dresses need a room. this one needed a mountain. a Danielle Frankel silhouette against the Swiss Alps — two black-and-white frames from a wedding at Villa Honegg, high above Lake Lucerne. volume, texture and a bouquet that was never going to play a supporting role. floral design and styling: @tabeamarialisa photography & film: @davidandkathrin + @m_milo___ dress: @daniellefrankel @daniellefrankelbride venue: @villahonegg tent: @zeltvermietung.ch make-up and hair: @sinemyavsaner rentals: @options_ch @rent_a_lounge gelato: @kalte_lust music: @kiralartists candles: @carpe_home cake: @konditorei_caredda by @m_milo___
somewhere between getting dressed and still life. slide two might be my favourite. what’s yours? satin, sculptural heels and a few quiet studies in white from our bridal editorial at Six Senses Crans-Montana. photography: @m_milo___ design, planning & styling: @cmweddings.ch floral design & styling: @tabeamarialisa venue: @sixsensescransmontana stationery: @millu.studio hair & make-up: @isa.belle_brautstyling dress: @belleenblanc_lausanne suits: @sunitasuits models: @calu.gray & @sebastientoucourt via @visagemodelszurich by @m_milo___
can we talk about a masterpiece in every single detail? deeply in awe of what @cmweddings.ch and @tabeamarialisa created here — the colours, the textures, the layers, the proportions, and the way every single element speaks to the next. a photographer’s dream indeed. design photography + content (pictures shown): @m_milo___ planning, design & styling: @cmweddings.ch

before she saw him. after he saw her. seconds apart at their first look at Signau House in Zurich: that strange mix of nerves, purpose and anticipation – and then the moment it all finally had somewhere to go. close enough to crop the context out. (and, ironically, not cropped. yes, I really was that close.) three frames from N. + R.’s wedding in Zurich, where the whole story comes down to faces, hands, houndstooth, one emerald colored earring and whatever happens in the few centimetres between them. less scene-setting, more chemistry. standing still was never really the plan. a city wedding in Zurich, photographed on digital + 35mm film between Limmatquai, the old town and Lake Zurich – black and white, a little motion blur, green Manolos and one very photogenic police beetle. elegant, slightly chaotic and always moving. ps: I literally spent 15 minutes deciding whether the first slide or the last one should be the hero image. still not sure I got it right. still processing what @cmweddings.ch and @tabeamarialisa created over the weekend – and it sent me straight back to this one. sage green, deep berry, silver and black for a Bürgenstock Resort wedding above Lake Lucerne. clean lines, sculptural florals and a wedding tablescape that was never going to play it safe. still obsessed, obviously. respectfully, these two made this garden path look expensive. a few portrait frames from E. + S. at Signau House in Zurich – a late spring garden wedding with a touch of old-school glamour, sharp tailoring, soft light and exactly the kind of ease you cannot fake. just very good-looking people having a very good day.
