XAU/USD:

1st chart (daily timeframe)

gold has cleanly broken the monthly trend. (red brake out line), and on the daily has formed a higher low and a higher high, and from a level of supply gold rallied to 4700 level, this looks like a controlled pullback. again the fed is looking hawkish more than dovish from past couple of speeches by FED chair (kevin warsh). so will be paying close attention next week to this level and 2 & 10 year yield rates.

chart 2: 4HR timeframe.

refined on the 4HR chart, there is 3 levels of support and which gold reacted strongly to, plus we have a bullish 4HR OB. (however) there was a 4hr support level at 4450, which was swept on Friday roughly 1 hour before market closed. there was no strong displacement but in my honest view I think price will re-rest the brake out line (black line) and drop again to around the daily support level.

2 year yields are at a key daily resistance level.

From our original post beginning of the month. Bitcoin is starting to be come a valid setup (long). On weekly timeframe price tapped into a bullish OB at 59/52k area price never closed within (wick rejection). Price than has broken out strongly out of the (monthly declining trend). I’m expecting a re/test of the brakeout and to fall back to 65/62k, I’m looking for on the daily for price to come into that area and close back above. And on a smaller timeframe e.g 1HR/15min looking for bullish ob/ FVG’s. With the Jackson hole speech 🎤 (Kevin warsh fed chair) inflation is still high so in my view it’s a very mixed sentiment regarding bitcoin. But as of now the whole idea is playing out perfectly patiently will wait. by @m_trades_p

CRUDE OIL.

with the current situation still unsolved with Iran and the us. and virtually 0 traffic passing through the strait of hormuz.

what I can see in crude oil is that price has came back and filled the GAP at the time of the war starting. price than has made a displacement and created a fresh OB level in a previous level of demand, and has broken the downward trendline and as of now visiting that from above, and in that area is a FVG. this could see oil climb and gold to have a further pullback all aligns with original idea.

17th august.

with current sell position in play from stated levels from daily Ob to 4000 level.

from last week we did see 4HR timeframe respect 4330 level (area of demand.

and from that rejection we had a brake of structure on 15min timeframe and within that area of BOS created a 1HR FVG. which we did also state pay attention to 4360 level.

but we can still see much of a deeper retrace if 4360 is visited, that's not a instant TP smaller time frame will tell you weather to hold for further move down or to exit and look for longs.

Prediction for Asia session, then RED line being London session. Asia session open with sweep of New York lows to retrace to FIB 50/61.8 level, London session open sweep of Asia highs possibly (unlikely) sweep of New York highs (previous session) to then carry on in the down trend. #gold #daytrading #trading #daytrader #investing by @m_trades_p
