Para mi familia was crazy!! We’ll definitely run it back. Stay tuned for the next one🔥 BOMBOCLAAT!! by @maad._studios

Slowing down isn’t separate from the work, it is the work. The land takes its time to rest, and I’ve learned to rest right alongside it. There’s no rush to produce something, no pressure to fill every hour with doing. Just space to feel the ground beneath me, to listen to the people I’m surrounded by, and to remember that a life well built also knows when to pause. Some days the most meaningful thing I can do is let things breathe. by @maad._studios

WERE RUNNING “Para mi familia” back on September 12th🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ advance tickets almost sold out! Link in bio! by @maad._studios

I had the honour of filming the opening of @blackandhere_centre, British Columbia’s first Black arts and culture centre. Opened on Emancipation Day, on purpose. Built by people who carried this dream for generations before I ever landed here.
This space holds tea gatherings for elders, choir nights, art workshops, a place for the youth to land after school. All free. All open. All for us.
Some jobs are just work. This one felt like coming home to a place I’d never been.

🔥 PARA MI FAMILIA — DJ LALA HAUS EFFECT 🔥
After bringing 300+ people together for the last PARA MI FAMILIA in January, we’re doing it again — this time celebrating THE LALA HAUS EFFECT 🌎
PARA MI FAMILIA means for my family — and this party is about exactly that: bringing all our people, cultures, sounds, and communities together under one roof.
Expect an open-format dancefloor moving through Afrobeats, Dancehall, Amapiano, Baile Funk, throwbacks & more, with our MC 🎤 and DJ’s LALA HAUS, SUAR3Z & friends keeping the energy high all night.
🌍 REP YOUR FLAG WITH US!
Come represent where you’re from, bring your people, and celebrate the beautiful mix of cultures that makes Victoria’s nightlife what it is.
