POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Take a bow, Makaira Berry and all the artists and production team who contributed to giving our rangatahi from Waipareira an experience of a lifetime!

Produced by Crescendo, and brought to life by Bella Kalolo, Donson Pique, Nikau Grace, Mareikura Nathan, Laughton Kora, Rei and our Waipareira rangatahi.

Herena, Te Rina, Ginia, Rainbow, Daesharne and Destiny - TOO MUCH!!!

Like Jole and Harley said last night at the launch, “To see the rangatahi on the big screen smiling like that, being happy is what it’s all about! Dreaming of what can be comes easier then!”

Hawaiki Hou is LIVE now - go watch it on YouTube (link in bio)

IERE, (noun) The sound of voices 🎵

Meet the new wave of Māori artists, @mohiallen, @hopemusicnz and @mareischool are fusing waiata Māori with soul, R&B and neo-soul.

This isn’t just about sounding good. It’s about te reo Māori feeling alive for the next generation.

Still processing everything thats happened over the past week! My cup is so full ❤️

This gig was special! Had a go at holding the ropes and producing some new content for our platforms at Whakaata Māori. Got to work with my people and meet some real amazing people too. In amongst it had a chat to Te Ao News about my new waiata Nanakia with my stunning nan. From working with my whānau to creating a space to up-skill and give experience to others to having some of my favourite Aotearoa artist come be apart of it, it was a whole vibe! Im so grateful to be where I am ❤️

Emerging artist Mārei, has released her latest single titled Nanakia - a fusion of the Māori language with burlesque-inspired sounds. The track acknowledges the experiences of iwi taketake expressed through the perspective of a wahine.
