Houtman is standing at the weesperplein metrostation saying hi to everyone passing by. He is a part of the houtkunstroute that lasts until the end of oktober! Go visit him and all the other beautifull wooden sculptures that have been placed where trees have been cut down throughout the city of Amsterdam.

He is made entirely from old grachtenhout, old hardwood pillars that used to stand in the canals.

I made a giant Findling (creature made from trash)

This massive sculpture is placed on an old Bunker Hill thats part of the Dutch water defence line.

All the material was locally sourced, aka, found on the streets.

This Findling shows us how many small parts can come together to find a bigger propose. It reflects us in many ways.

Last Sunday @wesified and i organised the Lekart experience⭐

Thank you all for coming, it was a beautifull sunny day filled with music, poems, good food and friends❤️

It was an honour to host this day and welcome all your lovely faces to the terrain of @werkaanhetspoel taken in Werk aan het Spoel by @maas.objects

LekArt Experience was op deze zonnige zondag een relaxte verademing met performances van Maas (@maas.objects) en Wes (@wesified) en muziek van @the_lyrebirds_collective. Er kon worden geluierd, gespeeld, kleding geruild en bij de community kitchen van @knustkollektief kon je eten en drinken. De avond werd bij een kampvuur afgesloten met een open podium aan gedichten en muziek. Wat is @werkaanhetspoel toch een heerlijke plek voor creatieve kunst en ontspanning! #kunstaandelek #artistintesidence #culemborg by @maas.objects

De eerste dag van de Lekart experience was een groot succes!!

Bedankt allemaal voor het komen en het creëren!!

Er zijn veel prachtige kunstwerkjes gemaakt tijdens deze mooie middag⭐

Wij staan te popelen want morgen pakken we groots uit met muziek, poëzie, een ruilmarkt en een heerlijk avondmaal!!

Neem zeker al je oude kleding, spulletjes en curiosa mee om in te ruilen voor iets nieuws✨
