Resharing a glimpse from Kutty Koottam, shared by Mathrubhumi on their social media handles.

We joined hands with Mathrubhumi to bring the world of Maayan closer to young readers and creators.

The day was filled with stories, creativity, live interaction, and the joy of children discovering Maayan through comics and hands-on activities.

Thank you, @mathrubhumidotcom , for creating a meaningful space for children to explore imagination, reading, and art.

Grateful to @carmond_infinity , @_ram_arts , @kadalasmation , and all our volunteers for bringing the workshop together with care, energy, and commitment.

Special thanks to @navi_n_daz for the Maayan cosplay and Kalari-inspired performance, which became one of the most memorable moments of the day.

More Maayan moments ahead.

On 1st March 2026, at Kochi @comicconindia , we officially launched MAAYAN, a new transmedia project from Kerala to the world, published by Maayan Publications, founded by Rijas Sulaiman, and created by @carmond_infinity .

Actor and musician @anarkalimarikar unveiled the first trailer of MAAYAN to an incredible crowd, marking the beginning of this journey.

At the event, we also presented the first two books from the MAAYAN comic series, Issue #1 and Issue #2, introducing audiences to the world and characters of this expanding universe.

It was amazing to see readers, cosplayers, and fans stop by our stall, flip through the pages, and experience MAAYAN for the first time.

Thank you to everyone who came by, supported the launch, and shared in this moment with us. This is only the beginning.

MAAYAN has begun.

From the stories of our soil to the pages of The Hindu.

Maayan began with a simple belief, that the myths, folklore and imagination of Kerala could become the foundation for worlds of fantasy, adventure and wonder.

Today, seeing that journey featured in The Hindu feels special.

Not just because Maayan is in the newspaper.

But because the stories we grew up with are finding new pages, new readers, and new worlds to live in.

This one’s going in the archives.

Maayan is only getting started.
