Blueberries!!

For one of my ceramics projects this term we had to make a series of vessels surrounding a food of our choice. For me … I chose blueberries. I wanted to characterize blueberries into a series of foolish characters that each play a prank on the user. First of which being the giant bowl with removable ear scoops to serve the berries. Next a cup with tear ducts so he cries out your wine. A container where you can only shake out one berry at a time and finally a display jar that spills the blueberries everywhere when you open it!

This project is far from perfect but still such endeavor by @mac.z_art

Up to 22 - a self portrait

As a tribute to my life thus far these hanging looms hold my memories that I find most
defining up to the age of 22, the age in which it was created. The arrangement of the piece mimics a mobile as a
way to visually represent not only a whimsy of childhood but the mourning of that chapter in life. When
interacting with people of any kind they carry the experiences of their past as a way to guide their future. This is
something that some with many build spots as those stories and traits must be revealed to people who join your
life. Since the piece can be viewed from many angles and distances the viewer is forced to interact with the
painter’
s mind in a variety of ways. Such a thing mimics how people make connections in real life. Y ou may
focus in and try to fully understand an individual image, pull them together to find another or view them as a
whole. Any choice is valid and encouraged but it is undeniable that you cannot interact with it without missing
something. Instead you must sit with the piece for a long duration of time to actually understand it for yourself.
Each loom is dressed with transparent fabrics as although other memories are not currently being examined they
still exist within the composition by @mac.z_art

Coexistence -

My newest piece in the idea that everything is dependent on one another. It is impossible to not exist in tandem and this piece is meant to tackle this idea by playing with space via both the 2D imagery and physical space between the two painted panels. Comment any questions or thoughts you may have :)

My first installation piece! Aside from my painting I am also taking a class in abstract sculpture. Here is my piece for your found object project using various found fabric as a way to depict platonic intimacy. For me this piece represents the joy and comfort you can find with another person and how despite how lovely those relationships can be they often change over time. Let me know if you have questions! :) by @mac.z_art

For those of you who don’t know … I’m studying abroad in France this fall :) I’ve never touched oil paint before so it’s been a bit of a process for me but we’re learning! Wish me luck as I continue my semester of painting by @mac.z_art
