Gogo always knew how to make me smile from posing in a donut photo op to gently letting me know when a bowl cut was no longer my style. I was lucky to have 32 of her 94 years in my life. Her smile, her laugh, and her wisdom will be so deeply missed. I love you so much! ❤️ by @mac_attack22

I had the honor of representing @gartner_inc at the @humanrightscampaign Corporate Equality Index Awards!

Nine years ago, I never would have imagined this was possible. Even the thought of being my true self at work seemed unimaginable. Back then, I worked for a school where my teaching contract included a “morality” clause, which meant I could be dismissed simply because of who I loved. This was entirely legal at the time. It wasn’t until 2020—just five years ago—that the Supreme Court’s decision in Bostock v. Clayton County ensured LGBTQ workers are protected from job discrimination under the Civil Rights Act.
Shortly after this landmark ruling, I transitioned from teaching to a career at Gartner, where I am proud to be myself. I became actively involved in our Employee Resource Groups and now serve as the Global Co-Chair for Communications within Pride at Gartner.

In a time when the rights of my fellow LGBTQI+ friends, colleagues, and family are being erased, I am proud to be part of an organization that encourages us to bring our whole selves to work. At Gartner, associates are encouraged to learn from one another and embrace our diverse perspectives. I’m proud to be part of a company committed to cultivating a culture of inclusion.

Thank you, Gartner, for allowing me to represent such an amazing group of individuals. It was truly an honor. taken in Manhattan, New York by @mac_attack22
