~the living is the lovely part~

Would I love a beautiful aesthetically pleasing pool to be the back drop of our summer? Yes. Of course. But that’s not meant for us right now. What we lack in frills we certainly make up for in whimsy and fun. Because the children are the magic, the rest is just scenery. by @macallyjryan

Happy father’s day to our main guy @jaryan925 🩵

You are so steady even in the constant chaos of our life. You ground us and we are all better when you’re around. You are our fun captain, consistently up to play and stir up some laughter. You make every special occasion better because it’s accompanied by your famous smash burgers. You unfailingly make us feel safe and known. You’re the very best. You are ours. We love you so ✨ by @macallyjryan

Christmas Eve 2025, a Shepherd dinner anticipating the arrival of our Savior and savoring one of the best nights of the year in our little Christmas cottage.

it’s 2025.
You’re 6, 4, 2, and 1. You unwrap gifts like mad men. Spidey is the coolest. Slinky’s are as enthralling as they ever were. you pretend to be “high school football players” in your tiger helmets, you get excited for each other when you find another gift to open. Everyone wants to help baby sister open hers. You want to play with everything all at once. I tell you to breathe and slow down, there will be time for it all! You love getting out your own scissors and tools to open up the new things. There are pieces every where. My breakfast casserole wasn’t a hit, but the hot chocolate was. So were Santa’s leftover cookies. I spend too much time trying to tame the mess. Find places for new things and put the trash outside. I’m already missing these moments. The magic, the wonder, the chaos. I store the warmth of these memories in my heart forever.
