🏐🔥💫

Jersey Commission for UTRGV Men’s Volleyball!

This design was heavily inspired by Rótulos (Hand Lettering originating in 20th Century Mexico) typographic ligatures.

Typographic Ligatures mean the curly or sharp lines that come off of the letter but doesn’t distract from the form. (Design fact 🤓

My goal for this jersey was to make it stand out amongst the several schools that the boys will compete with. Along with some valley flair🔥

A passion project of mine rebranding @utrgvfootball graphics for their upcoming season.

Inspired by Rótulos (Hispanic street lettering style) typography and iconography most commonly found in Mexico. I wanted to create a branding that captures the essence of the RGV’s Culture.

This project is an effort to curate my design portfolio towards the sport industry.
