Tonight! Braeden Detert will be our final MacEwan Senior Recital of the semester at 7:15 pm in the Betty Andrews Recital Hall! 🎶

In the final presentation of his Bachelor of music degree, Braeden Detert showcases a series of original compositions conceived of and written during his time traveling through Korea and Japan in October 2025. This collection of tunes represents the culmination of 5 years of focused artistic development, catalyzed both through institutional structures as well as his experiences in traveling to 29 countries. Featuring a group of MacEwan's finest improvisers, Braeden will be demonstrating where this process has brought his musicality through the lens of modern, avant-garde jazz aesthetics.

Tomorrow night, come watch Steven Gevenich's Senior Recital this Thursday at 8:45 pm in the Betty Andrews Recital Hall! Here is a small blurb from Steven about his recital:

"I’ve chosen a theme around the music and influence of pioneer jazz guitarist, Charlie Christian. The show which will feature some of the swing era repertoire that he is best known for, during his time with the Benny Goodman Sextet in the late 1930’s. I'll follow that up with music by a couple of my favourite jazz guitarists, Barney Kessel and Wes Montgomery, who considered Charlie Christian to be their greatest influence."

Make sure to catch Andrew Sprenger's Senior Recital before at 7:15pm, for an amazing fusion packed set!
