Berlin based house collective @minimal_requirements recently took over the THF airwaves. Listen back to the set from @machesmax

Maximilian Herrmann, better known as SESO, is a Berlin-born and raised vinyl-only DJ and graphic design graduate who’s been shaping the underground music scene for several years. His sets—ranging from after-hours and illegal open-airs to club nights—are known for their diversity, precision, and immersive energy.

Drawing on years of experience behind the decks and a deep connection to Berlin’s iconic club culture—including time spent working at Berghain—SESO crafts dynamic soundscapes that reflect both his technical skill and refined musical sensibility. Recently, he’s been pushing his boundaries by incorporating a third turntable into his sets, adding depth and complexity to his performances.

Rooted in a lifelong love of rhythm, SESO’s journey began with percussion and years of drumming—laying the foundation for his transition into the driving grooves of techno and house.

Berlin keeps surprising me. ✨
Stumbling upon talented and creative people out of nowhere is honestly one of the best parts of living in this city.
About a year ago, I was at the Open Decks at @humboldthainclub when I first heard Seso @machesmax play. It was a vinyl-only techno set 🎶 I just danced and felt pure joy. I didn’t expect it to hit me the way it did, but it did and I was hooked🖤
Back then I remember thinking: If I ever have the chance to give him a platform, I’ll do it.
And now it finally happened 🙌🏿
Seso isn’t just musically talented, he’s also an incredibly kind, open and grounded person. The kind of person who greets you with a genuine, wide smile and brings good energy into any room. He listens and is curious. There’s real depth to him and I felt that right away.
His Private Paradise vinyl only set is everything I love about techno: raw, storytelling, immersive.
An old-school sound that creates space and emotion, that pulls you in and lets you float.
And on top of all that: Seso is also a graphic designer.
I’m incredibly proud that he designed the backprint for the NO ROOTS 01 – Congo Shirt from my label ROBOAM. That collaboration was personal to me and I just knew he was the perfect fit for it.
I love when sound and visual aesthetics align and Seso brings that connection to life in such a unique way.

Berlin-born and raised vinyl-only DJ and graphic design graduate Maximilian Herrmann, aka SESO, has been enriching the scene with his sets for several years. After-hours, illegal open-airs, and club gigs are part of his repertoire. With diversity and clarity within his musical arrangements, he confidently handles the mixer and creates an intense atmosphere. Several years of working at Berghain and many other club visits shape his sound. Recently, he has been experimenting with expressing his sounds on three turntables. With an early passion for percussive instruments, his love of music developed from years of playing the drums to techno and house.
