Liani Cruz from our story The Machete Clan! Representing both of her cultures proudly and showing the world she has great taste in music! This is her favorite quote which reads “Sigue Adelante!” Which means move forward. Something she has learned to do since she was a young girl.

It’s okay to ask/need help sometimes. This is a character in my story, his name is Frank Rivera. He’s a leader amongst his friends, athletic, confident, but he has issues he never talks about. He buries a lot deep down and tends to move forward by staying busy. Will his thoughts consume him or will he be able to break free of his shadow self?

Happy National Anime Day!!!
This is the ancestor of our protagonist Jose from our story “The Machete Clan”! Enjoyed drawing this background with the Ceiba Tree, a tree that has been around on our island for thousands of years. It was my first time working with a neon brush.

The two colors in his eyes represent Yocahu and also Atabey.

Practice practice practice!! I’m just a student trying to learn how to improve! Here’s another video of me drawing, this time incorporating my character Jose from our story The Machete Clan. I animated him a little bit but I’ll break that down in a future video. Make sure you follow us @99heartsent & @macheteclananime !!

This drawing is very special and important and I took my time with this. It is one of the indigenous ancestral spirit guides of the main character Jose in @themacheteclan story. This ancestor is from a different era that lived on the island known as Boriken. Jose is young, a little reckless and misguided. He will need all the guidance he can get! For more check out our comic series and anime series that are in production. We will have special prints of this available as I will be collaborating with another incredible artist from Boriken with the background work on this to create limited edition prints. Comic 2 is coming soon!!
