There’s an interesting parallel between live performance and screen printing. We play with layers that we can arrange freely, each time we perform the gesture. Even if the gesture is repeated, the result is always different and unique. There’s a very manual, almost artisanal access to the artistic material.

Using this medium to create physical support to accompany the release takes on its full meaning.

After Me, The Deluge EP

A veteran of improvised live sets, Nntblst has extracted from his sessions “After me, the deluge”, the first EP of Machine Ouverte. We are proud to present this raw hypnotic deep techno release with a very personal universe.

Following the artistic direction of the label, the EP was composed and recorded live, the edit is only there to polish and make the set shine. Composed on a small modular case, @nntblst shows us a perfect mastery of his instrument.

The EP is composed of 5 tracks that form a coherent and flawless whole. We navigate through gritty and enchanting atmospheres, contrasted by a thumping intensity throughout the listening.

“After me, the deluge” is undoubtedly a mature, rich and striking EP that we can’t wait to hear in the darkness of the dance-floors.

Audio snippet from EP Track 04 - "Ruin"

With “Ruin”, we descend back into a mental and throbbing atmosphere. Its background rhythm runs like a compulsive horse and keeps us on tenterhooks. A striking track with as its climax an absolutely mind-blowing suspended break, led by a beautiful distorted feedback that gives goosebumps.

We are delighted to announce our collaboration with NNTBLST (Nontablist), the first artist to join our modular/hardware techno label. Specializing in improvised techno lives, it’s the perfect match with the label’s philosophy and his 1st EP!

## Ep's coming soon 2024

In recent years, Nnblst has focused on his hyper energetic raw hypnotic techno lives. With his experiences, he has managed to shape a compact, devilishly effective modular case, decidedly live-oriented. He delivers improvised lives, completely hypnotizing, with great mastery of live performance. He takes the audience into his warm and mysterious sound atmospheres and textures supported by frenzied rhythms.

For Open Machine, he has drawn the best from his live-set performances and has concocted a scintillating EP for us. Recorded live, it retains all the freshness, dynamic and happy accidents. 5 tracks to discover very soon, which together, take us on a captivating journey.
