Failed lift at the 2026 RPS Jersey Rumble.

I had been fighting right forearm tendinitis for months, but it got worse in the last month. It was a pain that only hurt while actively being compressed, like when bench pressing. I got all kinds of great help and therapy to get through it. It all worked well enough that I did not feel any pain during any part of warm ups (including a 595 lb. warm up single).

The weight was coming down and my confidence was rising because of how good this 705 lb. opening attempt was moving. I got the press command and, as the weight was firing up, it felt like someone hit me in the forearm with a hammer. Thank you to the crew spotting me. My day was done before it started.

I did get a lot of good work done during this prep to build up an even better bench in the future, but first it's time to heal this thing up properly.

Got 685 lbs. to a 3 inch block for 2 while working up to 715 lbs. My right forearm wasn't ready for the 715 and it let me know it. Probably too many sets and reps building up to that weight today. 715 was no block. taken in Strong And Shapely by @machpower10

First week into prep for the 2026 RPS Jersey Rumble in May. I've taken it easy the last few months in preparation of the heavier weights to come. The weights will go up progressively over the next 4 months. Added some rolling tricep extentions to end the session. taken in Strong And Shapely by @machpower10

Started working with a heavier weight (685 lbs.) using an Elite FTS shoulder saver. I'm in an F8 2 ply shirt with an added insert. First time ever with this kind of weight and came close to touching chest on my first try. I've got alot of work to do, but I've got some time. taken in Strong And Shapely by @machpower10

Headbangers Boat is killing it! I met my favorite guitarist Dino Cazares and the new line up of Fear Factory. After the show I got to watch Lamb Of God with them. Then I watched the last couple of innings of the World Series with them. taken in Norwegian Jewel by @machpower10

Went for a personal record today considering I will be on a short vacation starting at the end of the week. Got the 645 lb. bench (Gym P.R.). Came in a little to low on the touch to chest, but still got it done. Now the countdown to the Headbangers Boat! taken in Strong And Shapely by @machpower10
