Nothing came easy this season, nothing went exactly how we planned, and there were plenty of moments that tested us…but we kept showing up and found a way through when it mattered the most. This team was something special and one that will be unforgettable. I’m so blessed to have had the opportunity to wear the Double T across my chest and be apart of such an iconic program. Texas Tech will always hold a special place in my heart and I couldn’t be more thankful that this is where my journey led me. To finish my senior year and my last season of college cheerleading as a B2B National Champion is an ending I’ll never forget. Thank you Texas Tech for the most incredible 2 years! It’s hard to find the right words to say goodbye. I’ve never truly had time to grieve with so much that has happened in such little time. This one hurts more than I can put into words. Papaw you could light up any room, make everyone laugh, and were always the life of the party. More than anything, you were genuinely such a good man to all. Yesterday we celebrated your amazing life & it truly showed how you impacted so many peoples lives with the turnout we had. I already miss you more than words can say, but I know you’re riding your Harley up in Heaven, watching over us from above. Until we meet again, ride easy, Papaw. You’ll always have a place in my heart forever and always. 🪽🏍️

Over the last four years, life has taught me some of its hardest lessons. I’ve said goodbye to my Papa (2022) and Nana B (2024), some other close relatives, my Nana Cile (2024), both of my puppers …and now my Papaw. Each loss has left its own kind of emptiness. There isn’t a right way to prepare for losing someone you love, and no amount of time ever seems like enough with them. Every goodbye has changed me a little, reminding me how quickly life can change and how precious time with family truly is. If there’s one thing these past four years have taught me, it’s that love doesn’t end when someone is gone. Discussing memories and moments with family and having every little thing remind you of them, let’s the love live on. For my papa- live music, bands and Neccos, For my nana- dancing and bras (IYKYK), and for my Papaw- motorcycles and hearing “Who’s your Daddy” and “Red solo cup”. Losing my Papaw so unexpectedly and at such a young age is still so difficult to accept. As painful as these losses have been, they’ve changed the way I see life. I’ve learned not to take time for granted. I try to appreciate the little moments more and the conversations that just seem ordinary. Mama and Dad, I am here for you through it all, I know grief never truly disappears; it just becomes something you learn to carry but I am here for whatever y’all need from this day on. Tomorrow isn’t promised, and the time we have with those we care about is one of life’s greatest gifts we shall ever receive. by @maciekdickey

Teal Bug… You were my baby girl. 14 years just wasn’t enough time with you. You were the strongest girl… I wish I could have been home to say Goodbye. My last childhood dog is up in Heaven, but at least you’re reunited with Zeusy, Rocksea, and Graycie now. I’ll forever miss you Teally!
