3️⃣Mistakes Models Make on Show Day❌

1️⃣Not preparing the night before.
Show day starts the night before. If you’re rushing in the morning, you’re already behind. Pack your bag fully, lay out your outfit options, double check the call sheet, and make sure you have everything you were told to bring. The most prepared models look the most calm backstage and calm always reads as confidence.

2️⃣Using skincare or hair products you haven’t used before.
Never experiment on show day (or the week of). New products can react differently under stress, heat, makeup, or lighting. Even something that normally “works” can cause irritation, breakouts, or texture issues at the worst possible time. Stick to what your skin and hair already know so you’re not dealing with surprises right before you walk.

3️⃣Comparing yourself to other models backstage.
Backstage energy can be intense, but comparison kills focus. You’ll see different body types, experience levels, outfits, and confidence levels, but none of that matters for your walk. The moment you start measuring yourself against others, your timing, posture, and presence can shift. The models who perform best stay locked into their own preparation, not everyone else’s appearance.
