And now the consequences go beyond crime.

🚙🚖Uber, Bolt and Yango drivers increasingly avoid parts of Teshie and Nungua after dark. Residents deal with cancelled trips, longer waits, higher fares and the simple difficulty of getting home safely.

I went back through years of court cases, media reports and driver accounts to understand how we got here.

This is no longer just a crime story. It is becoming a mobility problem.
