You taught me how to shoot. You taught me to open crabs (the RIGHT way with a knife btw, not with a mallet or cracker), and now I teach others the way you taught me. My favorite breakfast consists of runny eggs, scrapple, and toast (just like yours). Visits with you always ended with “you want a mint?” Even though I had already ate pretty much your whole pack of them already. You used to sit and watch SpongeBob with me even though I know you hated it (lol). Going to visit you and Grandma in the summer was always my favorite, and I wish I could go back in time and relive it again.
I poured a beer out for you on Silver Goose in view of the old house and tonight I will eat Maryland crabs and drink beer because that’s what you would’ve wanted. I love you Pop Pop.

Very belated 24th bday post: for my 3 day long birthday saga I was surrounded by all the people I love most in the whole world (have no pictures to show for it though because it was so jam packed with joy). thanks for showing up for me throughout the hardest year of my life, I love you all endlessly and unconditionally… 24 is my year!!! ❤️🥹 by @mack.joness

2025 nearly broke me; may 2026 bring peace.

To know I have lived
is to carry the echoes
of every heart I held close;
every moment that lingered
long after it passed.

There are places inside of me
where love once rested
so deeply.
It pressed its shape into me
and quietly stayed,
even after it was gone.

To know my life was full
is to peer within my heart,
and see the collection
of things that have
barreled-
carved-
ripped-
holes within my chest
because I’ve loved them so.

I measure my days
not by the calm,
but by the beautiful ache
left behind by the things
and the people
I dared to hold fully;
to love.

And if my heart feels worn
and soft from all the holding,
then I know
I did not walk through this life
