Happy 29th Birthday, Savannah

Before we knew who we would become,
before we had dreams, worries, or plans,
our mothers laid us side by side in a crib,
and somehow our hearts decided then
that we would walk through life together.

Twenty-nine years later,
I look back at all the miles between that moment and now,
and I can't help but smile at the story we've written.

Life has never been a straight path for us.
There were seasons when we stood side by side,
and seasons when life carried us in different directions.
But no matter how far apart we wandered,
we always found our way back to each other.
Not because we had to—
but because some bonds are simply meant to last.

You have the kindest heart of anyone I know.
You love with your whole soul,
give without expecting anything in return,
and carry a light that makes people feel seen, valued, and loved.
The world is softer, brighter, and better because you are in it.

You've been my constant through a lifetime of memories,
my voice of reason when I needed it,
my partner in laughter,
my shoulder in heartbreak,
and my sister in every way that truly matters.

We don't agree on everything.
We've grown into different people with different perspectives,
but one thing has never changed:
the love and loyalty between us.
Through every chapter, every challenge, every distance,
our friendship has remained unshaken.

You are more than my best friend.
You are my soul sister.
A piece of my story that I could never rewrite,
and would never want to.

When I think about the people I would move mountains for,
your name is always at the top of the list.
Because you've been one of life's greatest gifts to me,
and I cannot imagine a world where you are not part of it.

So today, as you celebrate 29 years of life,
I hope you see yourself the way those who love you do:
beautiful, strong, compassionate, resilient, and deeply cherished.

Thank you for every memory behind us,
and every memory still waiting ahead.
