The YouTube tech & gadget guru @mkbhd for the current issue of @fastcompany. I watched a lot of Marques Brownlee’s videos in preparation for this shoot— and there is a reason he has 17.9 million subscribers — the man is a charismatic wealth of tech knowledge (he also happens to be ridiculously photogenic & a very game photo collaborator). Huge thanks to photo director extraordinaire @msjeannegraves for such a fun shoot and @celinegrouard for your help on set. It is like unwrapping a gift to see the design wizardry of @schnaidt on the cover & feature— love the inside type & spread @annegolden . Big thanks to @iamryanhickey and @_caelliott for the speedy lighting set-ups — and beautiful retouching by @strixdigital .

One of my favorite shoots from this year, because I’m such a huge Reese Witherspoon fan (come on— Tracy Flick & Elle Woods?! 🙌🏻)— and I love nothing more than photographing powerhouse women 💥. This is actor/ producer @reesewitherspoon and her @hellosunshine media company president, Lauren Neustadter. Their producing credits are some of my favorite shows: Little Fires Everywhere, The Morning Show, Big Little Lies, Legally Blonde 3 (just a few suggestions for your holiday viewing pleasure). A fast & rapid fire shoot, but so fun to meet these two incredible talents.

Sad to hear the news of the great scientist Craig Venter’s passing. Even though this shoot was many years ago now, I vividly remember it for how charming and funny Mr. Venter was. I had many questions for him— but he turned the tables and asked me with a steady inquiries about photography & creative process. A genuinely curious & brilliant mind— evidenced by his remarkable achievements. RIP, Mr. Venter.

It is that time of year again when I realize I have not posted some of my favorite shoots and outtakes, so time to cram them in! In April, @fortunemag sent me down to Atlanta for a cover shoot with Delta CEO, Ed Bastian. I am used to having subjects accommodate moving coffee tables and sofas to get a shot, but having the Delta crew move a gigantic jet engine— that was a new level of cooperation 🙏🏻 (“oh, hey— can we move that about 8 inches to the left?”). Very cool to see the secret inner workings of the Delta hub, and meet the man behind my favorite airline (who has worked for Delta for over 25 years). Big thanks to @mj_diehl and @mtaylor5 for trusting me with rapid-fire shoot — and for delta frequent flyer (and number 1 fan!) @iamryanhickey and @brettfalcon_photo for lighting an airplane hangar 😳. After the shoot was done, I did a bunch of portraits of the amazing Delta team who pulled it all together — last slide is of that crew 💪🏻

Thank you @terminus_atl for the EQ, @strixdigital for the beautiful retouching on the cover and spread images. 2026 will mark 20 years of shooting for @fortunephotodept — thanks @mj_diehl for so many awesome shoots over the years ✨

I am way behind on posting work, but this shoot of @espn CEO, Jimmy Pitaro, for @fastcompany just came out— so I will work my way backwards. Thank you, Jimmy, for being such a charming, easygoing (and seriously photogenic) subject.

Huge thanks to @msjeannegraves for another very awesome shoot and for indulging my dark and moody B+W vibes 🖤. And although the print version is not out yet- @schnaidt always works his design magic. I was still dealing with a broken right wrist on this one— so thank you @originalcopies for going the extra mile, as always. And thank you @strixdigital for making these images shine. ✨

A little Malcolm-Jamal Warner appreciation post ❤️. Like every other kid in the 80s, I spent many hours glued to the TV watching the Cosby Show — and there was no more cool or funny family than the Huxtables (if this was before your time- I highly recommend finding some re-runs 👌🏻). In 2020, I had the good luck of photographing Mr. Warner as part of a gallery shoot— and as soon as I saw his name on the list, my inner child freaked out. Theo Huxtable ✨ and a lot more—dramatic actor, musician, poet…. Thank you, Malcolm-Jamal for your many talents ❤️. Such a big loss.

The seriously talented and charismatic photographer/ director @mosadek from a quick studio session. The best thing about meeting other photographers is getting a glimpse into how they get the images they do…thanks Mohamed for bringing the good vibes ✨⚡️(so hard to edit this shoot down — so putting up a big batch. The last frame is our ploy to get @profoto sponsorship 😂).

Appreciation post for Congresswoman Sarah McBride ✨. I photographed Ms. McBride in the early days of her political career, and witnessing her grace and intelligence in the face of discrimination and indecency over the years has been inspiring. We need more people in politics like her— focused on working for their constituents rather than juvenile name-calling. You go, @sarahemcbride 💪🏻

Painter/ artist Aaron Coley bringing the charisma — from my series of personal shoots in studio this past summer. Celebrating some seriously talented people like @90s.sitcom seems like a good counter action in this moment. Hang in there, everyone 🤍

Very hard to focus on much of anything when it feels like the wheels are falling off the bus — but trying to find a balance between “staying informed” and sending out some good vibes into the world. Whaaa— strange days, friends. Hang in there. These are some images from a personal shoot, with the amazing dancer @jessica_bally.
