Once you’ve crossed the finish line, don’t forget to give those tired legs a little attention!

Visit Claire Dann in the massage tent to help stretch out tight, tired muscles, or head over to Helen Mackey to try her PEMF machines and support your post-race recovery.

The true heroes of race day are our incredible volunteers.

The Mackenzie Half Marathon is an event run by the community, for the community, and it simply could not happen without the people who give their time to help.

From our marshals out on the course, to the registration team, finish-line crew, drink stations, prizegiving helpers and everyone working behind the scenes — they are all volunteers.

So as you make your way around the course, give them a big smile, a thumbs up and a heartfelt thank you. They’ll be out there in the cold, cheering you on and helping to make your Mackenzie Half Marathon experience possible.

We are so grateful for every one of them. by @mackenziehalfmarathon

Race day is here!

Before you head to the Village Green, here are your important reminders:

Race packs
Collect your race pack from the Hazlett registration tent. Please arrive early and allow plenty of time before your event begins.

Start times
• 21.1km walkers and runners expecting to take longer than three hours — 9:30am
• 21.1km runners expecting to finish in under three hours — 10:00am
• Please check your race information for all other event start times.

Course information
Please check your course map and instructions carefully before starting. Follow the course markings and listen to our marshals.

The beginning and end of the 21.1km course are slightly different from previous years, although most of the course remains the same.

The river is running higher following recent snowmelt, but we are confident participants can cross it. Marshals will be there to guide and support you if needed.

Merchandise
Pre-ordered merchandise can be collected from the Thermatech tent beside registration. You can also place an order at the tent for delivery after the event.

Race Village
There will be coffee, food, massages and plenty happening around the Village Green. Tam o’shanters will also be available from the registration tent.

Prizegiving
Prizegiving begins at 2:00pm in the Community Hall opposite the Village Green.

Please take care around roads, follow all marshal instructions and be respectful of the private land we are fortunate to cross.

And most importantly — wear your kilt, smile for the photographers and enjoy your Mackenzie adventure! by @mackenziehalfmarathon

21.1km runners and walkers — please take time to carefully check the course map and instructions before race day.

The beginning and end of the course are slightly different from previous years, although the majority of the route remains the same. Please don’t rely solely on your memory from past events!

The river is also running a little higher following recent snowmelt. We are confident our runners and walkers will be able to cross safely, and marshals will be there to guide and support anyone who needs a hand.

Study the map, follow the course markings and listen to our marshals — then get ready for a brilliant Mackenzie adventure! by @mackenziehalfmarathon

Where’s the registration tent? Where do I go?

3pm today, you’ll be able to pick up your race pack at the Fairlie Village Green. Keep an eye out for this tent!
Registration packs will be sorted by event. So look for the label to know which line you need to join. For example, if you’ve entered the 21.1 then join the line that says 21.1km.

There are still a very small handful of space left. So if you’ve entered haven’t registered yet and still want to, be there as early as possible to see if you can get one of the final few spaces. by @mackenziehalfmarathon
