Growing up, I never imagined that randomly throwing a stick 8 years ago would lead me to where I am today. Looking back, it’s crazy to think that javelin gave me the opportunity to compete at such a high level while also introducing me to some of the best people in my life. I never expected this sport to have such a tremendous impact on my life.

I’ve poured so much time, hard work, and dedication into this sport, and honestly, I’d do it all again. The highs, the lows, and everything in between. Every challenge and every success has shaped me into the person I am today.

Starting my career as a freshman in high school, throwing 37.36m, and finishing my career in the 50m club is something I’m incredibly grateful to have achieved. While I may not have ended exactly the way I envisioned, I can proudly say I had my most consistent season yet. Thank you to everyone that made this possible. I’m especially grateful for my teammates. You guys made this final year one I’ll never forget.

Most importantly, I want to thank God for allowing me to experience this journey. Through every up and down, He has always been faithful. His plan was always greater than my own. Javelin has given me so much more than results, it has given me lifelong friendships, unforgettable memories, and lessons that will stay with me for a lifetime. I am grateful for every moment and for God guiding me through it all.

This season was nothing short of a “God did” testimony. One of the biggest lessons I learned this year is how powerful your mindset truly is. Trusting in God and continuing to move forward, even through uncertainty, can lead to incredible breakthroughs. Better days DO come. Be freaking resilient. Stay grounded. Keep working hard toward your dreams, because you are capable of achieving absolutely anything you set your mind to.
