I can’t really put this girl into words (and, I hope I never can)! 🌞 Cool, confident, & KIND, our little Rae of sunshine!! 😭🥰

My sweet baby got the first character award of the year & I cried tears of JOY watching her absolutely OWN her first public appearance 🧡🖤 It’s every mom’s proudest moment to know their kids are kind to others (mostly because, well, it’s WW3 at our house most nights for real 😆). Today, I also cried tears of JOY that she is THIS CONFIDENT in who she is 💝 TYJ for making me her mama!! Who run the world? 💅 taken in Missouri by @macknierim

First week of my first year in the classroom as a high school business teacher and WOW do I have some thoughts to share but zero brain cells left to do so 😆🤪

I’ll just say this: TEACHERS DESERVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HEAVEN (AND ALSO A HEFTY PAY RAISE 🤯)
Also…. Let this be your reminder to *spoil* your kids’ teachers ALL YEAR LONG and not just in May because they’re truly doing THE MOST !! 😝

(Also, I didn’t find out the Queen left us until HOURS after the news broke because, well, teachers don’t even have time to use the bathroom let alone check the news 😅) taken in Missouri by @macknierim

Mom: First Year back in high school ✔️
Nellie: First day at her new Preschool ✔️

I need: a large supply of caffeine, approximately 34 hours in a day, & a long nap 🍎 first week was FUN (and also, slightly overwhelming) but I keep telling myself that I can do hard things & I’m where I’m meant to be 🤍 I cannot wait for this school year & watching my students ROAR! • Life has been WILD this summer (getting certified to teach, working on lesson plans, & figuring out business logistics)
• I finally have a couple weeks to knock out my mile long to do list (!!) & will try to take you along for the ride of transitioning from boutique owner to business teacher!!

This beautiful butterfly made a surprise appearance while I was packing & shipping at the shop this week 🦋 I’ve had hard days walking this journey & cried both sad and happy tears a few times 🤭

I’ve realized more recently that you CAN mourn something behind you (storefront life) while being ECSTATIC about what’s in front of you.

Change is hard, but staying the same is even harder. I could go on and on about that (and maybe I will one day) but I hope sharing this journey from entrepreneur to educator can inspire someone on the fence about making a change. It’s scary, it’s hard, but it’s so freeing, too 🤍

His plan is always better 🙏🏼 I’ve grown in my faith and prayed through all of the options throughout this process & just know that He is setting me up for some really GOOD DAYS 🤍

Not a drill, folks! 🍎 and you know what they say, the apple doesn’t fall from the tree!! 🤭 I’m heading to (MY!) classroom this fall and absolutely cannot wait!! ✨ I promise to share more on all of the *changes* soon but this career move was perfectly timed and I’m so grateful for the opportunity He put into my life plan! Now, should I switch my handle to Mrs. Knierim?! 👀
