The Torment Forbidden Traverse lived up to its name. Theresa has been wanting to do this route for a while now and quite literally roped me into doing it with her. What it provided in spice, it equally provided in unbelievable views and memories I look back on with much more fondness from the comfort of home. Think this might be our last alpine climb of the season 😅 by @mackrobertson

@theresasilveyra and I had the perfect little getaway to our favorite place in the world. After a beautiful but draining overnight on Mt Shuksan, we took a couple of rest days in Bellingham and Mazama to wait out some weather before a very fun and chill day (by comparison) on Cutthroat Peak. by @mackrobertson

Last month I ran Crazy Mountain 100 in Montana. It was the first time I felt like I ran a decent 100 mile race and didn’t have to walk in the last 30 miles feeling broken. Big thanks to Will for coming out and pacing and for Larayne giving up her day to drive around the Crazies to hand me water bottles filled with my preferred sugar water. by @mackrobertson

On Thursday afternoon @theresasilveyra and I stood on the summit of Mt. Jefferson. The climb was tedious and complicated and at times a little scary. Truly a gauntlet of complex challenges that never really let up. Ironically the “Terrible Traverse” was one of the chillest parts. Thankful we were granted safe passage and for Theresa’s expert skills in navigating every obstacle that was thrown at us. by @mackrobertson

Theresa and I had a lovely weekend in central Oregon seeing friends and climbing at Smith Rock. Theresa was set on climbing Monkey Face so we closed out the trip with a lap before heading home. by @mackrobertson

A lovely Sunday having @theresasilveyra take me up Flying Buttress and the Wy’east Ridge on Mt Hood. The weather ended up being pretty perfect and even gave us a decent ski down. by @mackrobertson

Spent the last two weeks in Vietnam visiting my friends Tom and Angie. Such an incredible country and wonderful experience. Was able to sneak in an early season race at the @vietnamtrailmarathon 70k in the middle of my trip which was an unbelievable way to take in Vietnam’s countryside. by @mackrobertson

Joined @theresasilveyra for her 2nd day in a row on Devils Kitchen Headwall yesterday before she heads to Ouray to start her ice guiding season. She’ll be back guiding Mt. Hood this spring and still has some availability to guide this route and others on the mountain. by @mackrobertson

Yesterday @theresasilveyra and I had a long day on the mountain climbing some of the most sustained ice we’ve ever encountered on Hood. It was a beautiful day and we had the upper mountain all to ourselves, which was good with the all the ice we were kicking down. by @mackrobertson
