Fast, direct flight and often heard before seen with soft chattering calls.Diet: Nectar and pollen from eucalypts and other blossoms, along with small seeds. Golden Retrievers and other water loving dogs can't help themselves. They just love to swim. The dog owners are a fault, if they let their pet worry wildlife. In England we have heard of dogs worrying sheep and the serious consequences to the dog and its owner. Are waterbirds and other wildlife less important? @swansofhampsteadheath Also asked to collaborate @justpictures_47 as I know his feelings on this subject are as strong as ours. The Mute Swan’s name is misleading — it isn’t silent, but compared to other swan species, it is far less vocal, communicating mostly through hisses, wingbeats, snorts, and graceful body movements. by @macnjenni
