Finding time to create more and start back up on my florals and macrame business this week.
I was inspired by this old camera my sis had that isn’t working. So I gave it new life.

We love anything nostalgic and vintage.

Being a new mom I’ve started taking film photos and making photo albums. And loving the simplicity of this crazy life right now!

Truly feel in full bloom being a mom 🫶🏼

Goodbye 2024! God has been so good to me this past year!

He’s taught me his time is the best timing and to fully trust in him.

He’s taught me patience and that sometimes we need to slow down in life and realize how precious it truly is.

He’s taught me that time goes by so fast, cherish every moment.

He’s taught me that I have a strength in me I never knew was there until becoming a mom.

He’s given me new eyes to see my husband as a Dad and made me fall in love w him all over again, because he’s seriously the best dad!

God has given me so much this year and I can’t wait to see what he has in store for me this year!

I think there is something wholesome about film photos. It captures a moment that we get to freeze in time while living in the present. We don’t get the chance to sit and analyze one photo. We simply capture a moment we’re feeling at that second and move on from it and keep living it. I think that’s why when we look back at old photos it takes us back and we can truly feel what we were feeling then.

One reason I fell in love w photography is because when I lost my Dad all I had were photos that were taken and not many but the ones I have I truly feel and get to live in it and sit there and feel him again. I feel that smile that spirit and his being as if he never left. That’s what I truly love.

Life isn’t picture perfect and nor should your photos be. Some of my favorite photos of my childhood are ones where I’m in my brothers old T-shirts that are way too big for me, the house is a little messy, it’s like a fun game of where’s Waldo. Where I get to find little toys in the background that I used to play with, the playpen that my sister and I were trapped in, and all the old style furniture that my parents had in their house. It brings you back to that very moment in time.

That’s what I want to create for Curren! A photo album of memories that bring him back to this exact moment. Where he can see the old toys he had, house we lived in, and memories that were made that weren’t “picture perfect” but perfect in every other way!

This song by Brandon Lake felt fitting too “loving rich” “making memories that money, just can’t afford” ! Take a listen! It’s a good one and a good reminder. Even through the tough times, life is beautiful! Make those simple but big memories 🙏🏼

Need to make a visit here soon! My happy place! 🫶🏼

Navigating motherhood has been amazing, while it’s taught me the gift of slowing down and enjoying every moment, being present and what a gift that truly is!

It’s inspired me to get back to my creative side again and truly go for my goals and dreams!

Curren has pushed me to find the best parts of myself and believe anything is possible! Il always strive to be my best for my little man!

So with that, more creative things to come!
