CAP Post-2027 - Young Farmers cannot be forgotten

Exactly one year since the proposals for the next CAP cycle were announced and our young farmers still have no certainty that their futures will be protected under the regulations.

Since the announcement, Macra has lobbied Irish MEPs and their European counterparts, DG Agri and TDs to ensure the voice of young farmers is heard loud and proud.

Macra has a number of key asks as part of the negotiations however first and foremost, legally binding ring-fenced funding must be provided to underpin Generational Renewal and ensure the future of farming in Ireland.
