✨ Stitch and Transform is back ✨

This time, we’re diving into the history of Sirens 🧜‍♀️ Create a textile piece with stitches and appliqué, using all kinds of materials.

Human from the waist up, fish from the waist down. Or singing birds? These sea women can be dangerously tempting or enchantingly sweet. What is your take? Discover how they are represented on the pages of a manuscript or on the top of a medieval column.

After the introduction it’s on you to think about what your mermaid embodies for you and create a textile piece and stitch your siren.
Let your needle guide and transform you.

Artist @zsofiatettamanti is an ex-museum mediator from the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest, who is passionate about medieval imagery.

🗓 Thursday September 10th
⏰ 5:30 PM – 20:30 PM
📍 MACS, Rua da Boavista 84, 4000-112 Porto
🧿 Guided by visual artist and art mediator, Zsofia Tettamanti
💰 25€
🗣️ Language : English
