Hey there, it’s Macy, the woman behind the needle! 🪡 I thought I’d share a little about myself for those of you who are new here!

My passion for sewing began at a young age, thanks to my grandmother’s timeless skills. My love for bridal design started when a friend asked me to redesign her mom’s wedding dress, and from there, my journey into creating one-of-a-kind gowns took off. My mission is to craft a fully immersive experience that honors each bride’s unique story, incorporating personal style into every custom piece. SYD & GREG GET MARRIED ✨💖🎂🍥

This wedding day was an absolute blast to be a part of! Syd and Greg truly know how to throw a party. From bar-hopping around Cincinnati with their favorite people to dancing the night away, the entire day was filled with so much joy, energy, and fun.

One of my favorite parts was how thoughtfully every detail was designed. Even the color palette had a special meaning—it was inspired by the colors of Syd’s childhood bedroom, which made the whole day feel even more personal and nostalgic. It was such an honor to document a celebration that felt so uniquely them. 🤍✨

This precious prayer was shared with me today. Motherhood comes in all shapes and sizes and today I celebrate with everyone.

Mother’s Day Prayer for:

Those with good mother relationships May you treasure the time and the relationship you have with your mother, the hard work and tears it’s taken to keep that relationship good and the joy that Mother’s Day brings.

Those who have lost mothers May you feel the freedom to mourn your loss while remembering the good, the bad, and the missed opportunities. May you be surrounded by people that “mourn with those who mourn” and don’t insist you put on a smile.

Those who never had a mother May you be supported by spiritual mothers that can help fill that void. May you feel seen, and not expected to take on other’s experiences of mothering as your own.

Those with strained mother relationships May you feel the freedom not to put on a happy face; to be honest yet honoring about your relationship with your mother.
May the memories of good outweigh the pain of the present and past. May you be allowed the right to celebrate or not celebrate as you see fit.

Mother’s with strained child relationships May you feel honored as a mother even if the honor doesn’t come from your kids. May you give your children the freedom not to celebrate or to celebrate from a distance. May you forgive yourself for the strain.

Mother’s who have lost children May your motherhood be honored even when it is not seen. May your mourning be comforted. May celebration of mothering children that are still alive not disregard the loss of those who are not.

Those who long to be mothers May your wait be short and your longing be satisfied. May you be surrounded by those who can offer genuine support and not just cliche encouragements.

Those who have chosen not to be mothers May you feel respected in your choice to abstain and not treated as less than. May you be honored as a woman and for the nurture you bring to those in your life.

Those who are mothers May you feel loved, honored, and supported in what ever form of mother you are — biological, foster, adoptive, spiritual. May your children call you blessed. by @macymartinmeyer

Something special is launching this summer:

I’m so excited to introduce the very first year of Atelier Kids: Sewing & Design Camp — a studio-style experience where young creatives will learn to sew, design, and bring their ideas to life.

This has been on my heart for a long time. Creating a space where kids can work with their hands, build confidence, and experience the art of making something from start to finish feels incredibly meaningful.

Throughout the week, students will learn both hand and machine sewing, explore foundational design concepts, and create pieces they’re proud to take home.

🗓 July 6th-10th
⏰ 8AM–12PM, Monday–Friday
📍 MMM Studio in Longworth Hall
🧵 All materials included

Enrollment is intentionally limited to keep the experience personal and hands-on.

This past weekend, I traveled to South Bend, IN, for a dress fitting. This particular client is honoring her late mother with a dress redesign and veil featuring the remaining lace and appliqués.

Her story immediately captured my heart, and the cherry on top was the fact that her mother had purchased her wedding dress in Michigan City, IN. A small and insignificant city to most, Michigan City holds a special place in my heart and is where I first learned the art of sewing from my Gg. Immediately, I knew this was meant to be.

When I first began Macy Martin Meyer, there was an insurmountable amount of questions and unknowns. All you non-business majors know what I’m talking about.
The one thing I was absolutely certain of was my desire for my business to be centered around building authentic and impactful relationships with each client that walks through my door. A space to feel valued, safe, and empowered. A place that embraces you by altering garments to fit you and not suggesting you change to fit the garment. A place to visit a friend, kick your feet up, and have a coffee.

Over the past 3 years, that vision has become a reality. I have had the privilege of meeting over 50 brides, their families, and dearest friends from all over the country. I still cannot believe that’s real.

In saying that, I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every person who has played a part in this process. From my very first bride @bridgit_james , to the friends who keep me company during long work sessions, to my referral queens (@kelxowelsh2 I see you), and everyone in between. When I say I couldn’t do this without you all, I mean that from the very bottom of my heart. I am blessed to say that almost all of my clients have been referred by word of mouth. As a one-woman show, I have hardly spent any time and energy on marketing. Just look at my sparse social media page for proof, meaning any and all success is directly related to the way you all have shared your experiences or have casually dropped my name into a conversation. Please know the significance of your kind words because they are making this girl’s dreams come true. by @macymartinmeyer
