Excerpts from my piece “M.u5h_r00m” This is my first student piece created Fall 23 🍄 My focus was to dehumanize my dancers to create a movement vocabulary focused on quality and shape. I wanted to challenge myself to abstract my movement and create something a lil weird 👾

“M.u5h_r00m“🍄👾🩷My first student work in fall 2024 ❤️ I read an article about scientists who were turning the skin of mushroom heads into biodegradable computer chips. This inspired a small work which inspired an even bigger one 🍄 I wanted to create a dance focused on different quality of movement while dehumanizing the dancers. It was so cool exploring this story and collaborating with my cast ❤️ Forever grateful for the opportunity 😘
