After 48 hours of slaving away and creating a beautiful loaf of sourdough… it only takes my husband TWO MINUTES UNSUPERVISED, while I get my baby back to sleep, to leave his mark..

Never a dull moment when he’s home 🙃😂🙃🙃

Ya win some ya lose some 🥲

I was strapped for time, my loaf started melting on the counter, I think I put wayyyy too much water on the loaf so it was just dripping and after baking it… ITS SO STICKY 😂😂 this is not like those beautiful sourdough loaf videos I’ve watched on IG. I’ve been duped lol

Exhausted, no time, no energy… but I told myself I’d do one little thing just for me this week. 🥹

So naturally, I painted a flower on the loaf of bread I was already baking for my family. Now I feel accomplished and my children have happy tummies haha

It may not be much, but I’m learning that making space for my creativity doesn’t have to look perfect. Sometimes it’s just 10 minutes, a paintbrush, and a loaf of sourdough. 🤍

She was beautiful. She was colorful. She was giving ✨masterpiece✨ …until I took a bite hahah tasted like garbage and the texture was giving sketch so she went in the trash 🥲

A painful reminder that sourdough can look like a work of art and still be a complete culinary failure.

At least I got a pretty painting out of it. 🤷🏼‍♀️🎨🍞 until next try 🫶🏻

One might say, I’ve just been WINGIN’ IT. And, you would be correct.

Sourdough: 1 Butterfly: 0 😭

Any guesses where I went wrong? For all you sourdough fiends out there, don’t judge me too harshly, I’m still LeArNiNg 😩😩😩😂

DIY Toddler Crafts Reminder: Let your toddler help. Yes it’ll take atleast 10x longer. Yes there will be glue everywhere and it won’t end up perfect. They’re learning and having a blast making memories with you. 🫶🏻🫶🏻
