PART-TIME SPINNER. FULL-TIME LEGEND.

On this day in 2009, Rohit Sharma wasn’t just hitting sixes… he was taking wickets at Centurion.

A 22-year-old Rohit Sharma pulled off one of the most unexpected moments in IPL history and became the youngest Indian to take a hat-trick in IPL history, and did it against Mumbai Indians — the very team he’d go on to lead later.

Bowling just 2 overs, Rohit stunned everyone with figures of 4/6, dismantling MI’s middle order by removing Abhishek Nayar, Harbhajan Singh, JP Duminy, and Saurabh Tiwary.

He remains the youngest Indian to take a hat-trick in the IPL, and this remains one of the best bowling spells ever by a spinner against MI.

Little did we know… the man who would later captain MI to 5 titles once bowled them out with part-time spin!

Drop a 🔥 if you remember this!
