It’s been a while since I showed my visual work in a physical space. 2 weeks ago I created this video work under the theme of wetness, water, memory and love for @synestransia
It felt very special and sentimental to me. It was also so beautiful that the soundtrack kept on changing, being created through the sets and music of @azulwellimean @milktooth.universe @viti.pichula @formella.1 and @aladamusic who in their own way interpreted wetness and their colours.
Here are some snippets of the screening. Very grateful for moments like this. Thank you also for everyone who I could photograph and film and continue to be able to document through my lens. by @madakya

Super honored to share our December and last guest artist of this year’s Trouble Mix: @madakya

MADAKYA (they/them) is a Berlin-based artist and social worker. Their creative practice spans photography, writing, and sound. Their visual work is an intimate archive that celebrates queer existence, relationships, and a recording of an era.

This mix was recorded for TroubleMaker Records during Scorpio season, as the sun transited through their 12th house. The 12th house rules, but not just, the subconscious, secrets, dreams, everything hidden or that is part of mystery, mental health, isolation and also meditation. This mix serves as a sonic reflection of the entanglements of the 12th house, and MADAKYA’s aim to evoke transformation through meditation. Within the mix they use a track from their duo project “naket spheras” with Gerald, in which they led vocals and songwriting.

my late partial recap of our 4th @synestransia this year and the days around it. the last 2 photos taken in december 2025 when migs and me tried out to play blue together + the card we pulled for synestransia before it took place the first time ✈️ what a ride it has been… i am so grateful for everyone who has been part of this journey and made it what it was, is and going to be.

What does grief sound like to you?

„Grief… can sound like so much… It can be nostalgic, warm music that makes you laugh and miss someone or something. That makes you remember. Grief can be silent, no sound. It can be spacious, so I imagine spheric sounds, drone sounds.
I imagine the singing of sirens.
Words of remembrance and reflection.
Songs that make you dance, make you feel joy.

Grief can sound like anything really, I guess depending on the stage(s) one is in.
Lately I met several times the expression that “grief is unexpressed love” and it resonated a lot.“

MADAKYA will interpet silver and new beginnings through their DJ set.

SYNESTRANSIA #4: Celebration of Life & New Beginnings

Definition: The “celebration” of something is praise and appreciation which is given to it.
RQ1: Can we translate celebration through sound?
RQ2: Can we collectively call in new beginnings with each other?

This year, many planets have shifted their signs, and nothing is as it was before. How does this feel for each one of us? How does this feel for us as a collective? With endings, comes letting go. With endings, new beginnings arrive. We are ever-changing, and with this edition we want to celebrate life and all the transformations it prompts within us.

This experiment is for those who have danced with grief. Those who understand that joy can be velvet, joy can be depth, and joy can be the peace of being surrounded by others who feel it too.

Setting: A new exciting space, Tender Mesh Project Space with set design facilitated by @glow.magma and @comf.artefacts

The Invitation: We invite you to dress in celebration. Not mourning. Not minimalism. But statement. Think texture, silhouette, and sheen. Velvet, leather, silk, lace, sequins, matte, and gloss. You are not dressing for a funeral. You are dressing for a soirée. A celebration of depth and mystery.

Participants: You, your joy, and your friends. Sounds provided with a live set by ASPHODÈLE (LA) who interprets maroon and through DJ Sets by comf playing yellow, COTTON (NYC) interpreting pink, DJ Trade Trainer embracing gold and MADAKYA exploring silver.

The Question: This evening, we are guided by a single inquiry: Can celebration be felt—and seen—through a single color? We believe the answer is yes. Because color is not just visual. It is emotional. It is atmospheric. And when we collectively immerse ourselves in its shades, we embrace it.

The Promise: Intentional music listening, self-expression, and communal alchemy.

Join us for this special new beginning where we move to a new venue, while still remembering and honouring our past experiments that took place at Kwia. Come early and stay for the whole journey.
