Curls, beauty, and community—who knew something I once saw as a burden would meet me here 🫶🏽

Embracing the Curls:

My Roomate in San Jose had a wild idea for me to start embracing my natural hair- she even tried to style it for me once it took hours! @xtinaspath hahaha

That had me sought after a curly salon in LA and found @__donnadonna who now was featured on stage as the top Curly hairstylist in LA 🔥🔥🔥 her, along with her @aldaezzym_ master colorist @curlsoneonone

Through that journey, I met the magnetic @persiabella—mom, beauty boss, fitness, and all-around force 🔥 def matched my heart! Watching her speak, lit me up. She inspires me daily. My girl girl always! ❤️ thank you to this beauty for making sure I was there 🙌🏽❤️❤️❤️

My sis joined me, so sweet 🔥🫶🏽 @stefanydixie ….and I just thank god for her all the time. I’m so thankful!

Oh yeah and the Caribbean queen is BELIZEAN okkk 🔥 so fun!

This day, this month, this energy—it’s all divine. All the beautiful women I am getting to know 🙌🏽✨❤️
My daughter will have it so much easier because of women like these (and so many more I love and honor not featured but they know I love them… beyond).

If I had to do it all over again—every challenge, every heartbreak, every hard lesson—I wouldn’t change a thing.

That doesn’t mean there aren’t areas of my life I want to grow in or things I strive to do better. But when I look at who I am today, I feel nothing but deep gratitude for the woman who pushed through.

The woman who endured. Who walked through consecutive bad relationships, toxic patterns, and limiting beliefs about what was possible for her life—and still found the courage to take the chances that were hers to take.

Every painful evening, every tear, every moment I thought I wouldn’t make it… I would do it all again for the life I have now.

For the tiny hands that reach for me. For the dreams that still call my name. For the gift of another day to try again.

Our hesitations, doubts and fears from the past sometimes halts what we are after, our real dreams and desires. It has us feel small, even the results of the past, can do that.

Remember each moment we get to deposit into the life we are creating. If we keep looking into the energy of the past, it does nothing but give us more of the same.

You can do this… keep changing your approach. Keep listening for gods/sources guidance.

One powerful realization that came from a conversation with one of my favorite people, @xtinaspath, is this:

When we are in our gifts, truly fulfilled, and walking in our purpose, we don’t want harm for anyone. We become a force of light.

And right now, the world doesn’t need more dimming. It doesn’t need more division or hate. It needs you—fully lit up.

So if you’re unsure where to start, start exactly where you are.In your home. With your family. In your community.

Spread love.Share kindness—it’s contagious.Talk about the brands, causes, and people you love.Lift others up instead of policing their journey.Be the best version of you, and let that energy ripple out.
