I can't remember anyone's phone number, but I can recite every single word to Hanson's "MMMbop."

Here’s the thing. You can’t fix all your problems during a sound bath, but you can spend an hour not thinking about them. Thanks for the invite, @amyhartbreaker by @maddamnsun

In October, I saved the sweetest video about two bonded orange cats. And even though it wasn’t about a cat and her person, I immediately thought about me and Gwen. After I watched it, I remember looking down at my little soulmate while she slept, thinking, “We’re both all grown up now, and I think I’ll always need you, HoneyBee.”

I’ve been trying to prepare myself for this for a while now. I knew losing Gwen would be impossibly painful and that my heart would just be shattered, but I never dreamed how empty my arms would feel.

Gwen Stefani Fowler passed away in my arms on January 15, while I held her in her favorite spot. On my chest, over my heart.

Watching the little tiny kitten my Pop mistook for a mouse in my front yard grow up over the last 17 1/2 years has been both my greatest privilege and greatest heartbreak.

There will be a piece missing from me for the rest of my life. I love you, HoneyBee. by @maddamnsun

Every time I see this photo, this is all I hear:
“I wish somebody would have told me, babe
That someday, these will be the good old days.”

Baby Gwern, circa 2008.

After 18 loud, scary, sleepless, joy-filled days, Baby Bern passed away close to my heart around 1:30 this morning.

When I first met Bernie, I couldn’t help but think of when I found Gwen 17 years ago because they looked so much alike. They’re practically twins!!

I secretly knew Bernie would be a foster fail, and when I pictured him growing up, I imagined him being big, strong and beautiful just like Michal, and one day becoming a grumpy old man like Vincent.

But he didn’t get any of that, and my heart breaks for the life that will never come to be. I am so grateful I got to meet him, love him, and take care of him for the short time he was on this earth.

Baby Bern went everywhere with me for 18 days, so he met a lot of people and made a lot of great friends. So, thank you to everyone who was kind to my little guy!!

You’re so loved, Brother 💙💙💙 by @maddamnsun
