“Het was wel echt topsport” 🎙️

Je eigen business op een hoog niveau brengen is keihard werken. Maddie Raedts heeft influencer marketing niet alleen zien groeien — zij heeft het uitgevonden. Op haar 21e startte ze Influencer Marketing Agency (IMA), in een tijd dat niemand wist wat een influencer was. Tien jaar later: kantoren in New York en LA, meer dan 100 mensen in dienst, en een historische overname door Monks — de eerste M&A-deal ooit binnen influencer marketing wereldwijd. Daarna pakte ze haar koffers en vertrok naar Los Angeles, waar ze opnieuw vanaf nul begon met social shopping app BOND. In Amerika leerde ze de les die ze in Nederland nooit had gekregen: hoe je een ruimte binnenloopt en die ook echt ruimte inneemt in een industrie vol mannen.

We don’t know enough about the women behind the titles.

Which is why I’ve launched ‘In Good Company’ on Substack.

Starting with a series in which I speak to the women behind today’s leading brands, businesses and cultural platforms about the experiences that shaped them. As business leaders, as founders, as mothers, as themselves.

The first conversations are now live with some incredible women:

For me, the one thing that has had the most impact on my journey as an entrepreneur is the women who have inspired me along the way.

Not just seeing them on stage or reading about them, but speaking to them 1-1. I’ll always remember those conversations because they were like a curtain coming down. They reminded me how important individuality is, just as much as what we have in common.

Which is why more people need to hear these conversations with female leaders.

I hope that by doing so, we make the right role models visible for generations to come, and inspire women to dream big. All year round, not just on International Women’s Day.

Oh and Substack is only the beginning. In Good Company is a platform that will come to life through community events, live panels, podcasts and more 🤍
