Graduated from Lewis & Clark (my grandpa’s alma mater) with my Bachelor’s of Arts in History with a minor in Religious Studies! Now onto grad school! (if any family wants to help a lil with grad school my venmo is Maddie-Selby-24 😛😛😛). I was also in a documentary shortlisted for the academy awards with a bunch of really cool people about the effects of mass incarceration and building relationships with incarcerated people??! Very belated final month(s?) in London post. Hopefully I’ll be back shortly, this time to stay for good! After Budapest I had to go directly to the airport to the British Museum to be on time for a class. Overall I saw 10 West End shows (including 2 repeats), went to 27 museums (including in Budapest, Glasgow and Edinburgh and excluding historic cites), saw at least two George Orwell references, saw 1 guy wearing a raw chicken as a hat, and saw 1 fox. I MISS IT!! Never thought I’d miss British food and people so much. Weeks 3-7 of study abroad! I’ve gotten sick 3 times, reread 2 George Orwell books, seen 5 West End shows, FaceTimed Bubbles 3 times, visited 12 museums and 2 of my dream historical sites!
