Estate sale last weekend with my tiny treasure hunter 💛

I genuinely can’t decide what I like more, the treasures or getting to peek inside a beautiful home. I love seeing the details and all the things collected over the years.

Half house tour + half treasure hunt = my kind of morning.

I saw @LizzieHomemade make the viral box bag out of a Walmart placemat, and when I realized the same placemat came as a table runner, my mind immediately went to: wait… could I make this fit my Mahjong mat and racks?

I used 36” for the mat and the rest of the runner for a little bag to hold my racks. I also added some elastic inside to keep them from sliding around, but you could totally skip that part.

I basically just adapted the box bag idea to the size I needed and made up the dimensions as I went. There are tons of really good box bag tutorials out there if you want to try it!

An $18 table runner → two custom mahjong bags and I’m so pleased with how they turned out 🀄️🧵🪡

Last year I waited way too long to dry my hydrangeas. It still worked, but catching them at that papery stage this year made SUCH a difference 🪻

And a little step I didn’t show: you can give the blooms a quick soak before bringing them inside to evict any tiny residents (aka bugs ).

Very easy. Very pretty. And I get to keep hydrangea season around a little longer. by @maddimay20

Escaped to Nantucket for the day. Instant Elin Hilderbrand fan. Northeast summer, a good story, and an opportunity to host book club… count me in! 🪻⛵️🧺🦀🌊🦪

Current personality: “You should come over.”

If you’ve been thinking about hosting a mahjong night (or in my case, a mahjong brunch), consider this your sign.
