THE PHIL UNDERWOOD SCHOLARSHIP A year ago we lost our brother Phil, devastated we struggled to really get going this year but we knew we wanted to continue and we also knew we had to find a way to keep Phil’s spirit alive within Maddogadventures.More than anything Phil loved to teach and pass on skills so that’s what we will do. In his name we have started a scholarship whereby we will train, teach and mentor a new candidate every two years to become a wilderness guide, bushcraft instructor, expedition medic or mountain leader …Check out the video for more details and the gofund me is now live in our sort and bio. We will announce criteria for applying soon for the 2026-2028 term. by @maddogadventures

What an inspiring afternoon at the @armchairadventurefest @mountedgcumbe! 🌿🏍️⛰️It was brilliant to listen to so many incredible speakers, meet like - minded people and come away buzzing with ideas for future adventures.At a time when I’m recovering, I’ve realised that adventure really is my medicine. Spending time outdoors, setting myself new challenges and connecting with inspiring people has been such an important part of finding my way forward. Today reminded me just how much there is still to explore.Some of my highlights:🥾 Learning about @the_intrepidexplorer and their lightweight, plastic-reducing products - perfect for life on the trail.🌍 Meeting the team from @maddogadventures. I loved hearing about the work they do, and I’m already itching to join one of their adventures soon!🏍️ Discovering @mhmotorbike and the fantastic support they provide, including training outdoor first aiders for people adventuring away from home. Such an important initiative.📖 And finally… hearing @elspethbeard speak. As the first British woman to ride a motorcycle around the world, her story was nothing short of extraordinary. I came away feeling so inspired that I bought her book - and I can’t wait to get stuck into it.Days like today remind me that adventure isn’t just about reaching amazing places - it’s about the people you meet, the stories you hear, and the confidence you find along the way.❤️🌍✨🦋 by @maddogadventures

PRIOR PLANNING PREVENTS PISS POOR PERFORMANCE…Yes it’s my fault , I planned the JungleCraft weekend for the weekend before we headed to Cornwall for the week…. A ton of driving over the last few days back n forth to the wood and to a storage to change the kit round but we’re here now and it’s “Beer o’clock “ ! by @maddogadventures
