I'm not supposed to talk about this.......but what the hey - i will soon be fronting a Pavement cover band. I can't say anything more about this except that this will be my drummer. Ok, he's not just exactly perfect, but he has a lotta "spunk." He can sometimes play real good and he's *totally* into fruit juice and seems to m know the material. We were in attendance for the 2nd Half of the first day of yesterday's @ajufestival and we are heading back for more today. Congratulations to Clint and Chloe of @alljammedup_ for their engagement. Clint tonight spoke to the crowd at the festival he and Chloe schemed, executed, curated and hosted (and named after their much-celebrated podcast). He then turned the mic over to Chloe, who said a few nice words herself. Then when Chloe turned to give the microphone back to Clint, he was on one knee. The room exploded with joy and many of us teared-up. It was a truly beautiful and memorable moment.The fact that this couple chose to include their Asheville music scene friends in such a huge moment of their lives was incredibly moving, and exemplary of why so many of us have quickly become very fond of these two.Then they introduced @fruteband who tore it up for a captivating 90 minute set. Before #WidespreadPanic continues its tour in Oakland tonight, I wanted to reflect one last time on the great pair of shows in Bend last weekend. It's beautiful that Widespread Panic has returned to the west coast to do a "proper" tour, and the idyllic and supremely fan-friendly Hayden Homes Amphitheater was a fine example of why this is so.Thank you to the beautiful and forever Spreadhead @kimbomurphy for making the trip happen. So, @kimbomurphy and I are all the way out in Oregon, and we were so excited to head out to the coast today, but our car is blocked in the parking lot and we can't go anywhere. Apparently, this @marriottbonvoy hotel on Anchor Way in Portland is having the garage door worked on, and no warning whatsoever was given to any of us. We were told it would be an hour. 20 minutes later, two other guests were told the exact same thing. This is extremely frustrating, and it is taking a hacksaw to our traveling plans. We were for our troubles offered a free cup of coffee by a staffer before she quickly retreated to her office. One would thing a member of the @marriotthotels family would have the courtesy to alert guests of a parking lot closure in advance. This is surprising, and extremely disappointing.@hotelreview #portlandoregonhotels by @maddogsandbobert
