2026 NE Youth Open & U23 Tour, Stop 3: 4th Place Overall

Great day on the lanes. I finished 4th overall, made the cash, and earned a Junior Gold qualifier. Qualifying was five games across two patterns: the short 36-foot Laurel on the left and the 47-foot New York long pattern on the right. I closed with a 197 in game 5 to finish qualifying with a 913 scratch and secure my spot in the cut, then kept going through the play-in, match play, and stepladder.

I threw a lot of good shots but split and fouled at the worst times. The approaches were slick and my heel wasn’t stopping me well. On the short pattern I started with the Stealth Pearl, which looked great for four games before it died out, then moved to the IQ Tour. On the long pattern the Phase 2 Solid hooked too early, and the Stealth and IQ Tour didn’t look right either. The Bubblegum Vibe smoothed out the backend and helped through games 3 to 5. The Hammer Effect got me through the play-in and match play when the Vibe was just a bit early to the hook. The IQ Tour didn’t have great reaction most of the day but was useful in the play-in, match play, and stepladder.

It was a really fun tournament, especially bowling with @jacksonwordekemper and gavtastic_ . Congrats to them on the great finishes, and thanks to everyone who supported me. (Thank you mom for the footage) On to the next one!

I Got the pleasure to watch the 2026 PBA QubicaAMF Mark 3One Midwest Open

I was able to meet a few of the pro guys and they were very friendly.

It was also a good experience to watch a lot of high level bowlers compete. The field was very competitive and I was able to learn a lot of things from these guys.

The pictures you see are Spencer Robarge, Mitch Hupé, and Kai Evan’s (@kaievans300)

Congratulations Spencer for taking the win and Kai for the runner up.

Hope the next time I see them is against them😈😉… taken in Sun Valley Lanes & Games by @maddoxsharp2

Here’s a complete progression from when I started bowling high school to where I am now.
The progress you can see is crazy even from a month ago to today.
Thank you to my coaches and parents that have supported me to get here.

Hammer effect has been looking amazing.

Practicing 6 days a week has really helped explore my bowling form, try new techniques and bits of help.
Small misses every 6-8 shots split games up, 800 coming soon!

Ended the day in 2nd place at Nebraska Youth Bowling Partnership’s Youth Masters and Queens Tournament!

Started strong with a 246, then fought through a couple tougher games to post a 587 and lock up the 2-seed going into matchplay. Made a solid run through the bracket and finished runner-up.

Warmed up with the Purple Hammer and it never looked right, so I went to the Phase 2 Solid and stayed with it most of the day. Checked the IQ Tour a few times too, but it never gave me a reason to switch.

Overall the ball was reacting decent. Still left a few things on the table, but I know exactly what I need to clean up now.
Proud of the fight today. taken in Sun Valley Lanes & Games by @maddoxsharp2

Cleaning a few things up on the lanes.

After some small changes I increased ball speed and am more solid at the line.

New lane surface at Sun Valley Lanes.
My first notes of these lanes are as expected…
1) the dry hooks hard, after one or two times oiling the pattern, when the ball hits the dry, it reacts.
2) the approach for me was a little slippery, I will have to adjust, but I don’t hate it.
3) downlane markers + hook. The markers downlane at 45ft are going to be very nice for seeing where my break point is, I also note that since the lanes are new, the downlane hook, noted on spares, is quite high. taken in Sun Valley Lanes & Games by @maddoxsharp2
