๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Budapest Diaries | Day 2 Started the day with Budapestโ€™s most horrific chapter which is now buried in the pages of history. The House of Terrorโ€ฆโ€ฆwasnโ€™t just another museum. It was a reminder that behind every beautiful city, there are stories of pain, courage, and resilience. Mon-ta ektu bhari hoye geloโ€ฆ but thatโ€™s the kind of history everyone should know. From there, we slowed down and let Budapest show us its softer side. We wandered along Andraฬssy Avenue, admired the elegant streets, and finally reached St. Stephenโ€™s Basilica. Then came the challenge. The panoramic view waits 376 steps above the city. ๐Ÿ˜… We took the elevator most of the way, but those final steps still had to be earned. And honestly? Every step was worth it. Standing above Budapest, with the rooftops, the Danube, and both Buda and Pest stretching into the distanceโ€ฆ oi view-ta เฆเฆ–เฆจเฆ“ เฆšเง‡เฆพเฆ–เง‡เฆฐ เฆธเฆพเฆฎเฆจเง‡ เฆญเฆพเฆธเฆ›เง‡! The day continued with little discoveries through Voฬˆroฬˆsmarty Square, Vaฬci Street, the Central Market Hall, and the colourful lanes of the Jewish Quarter. (It was the most hard times of my husbandโ€ฆ bechaare ki paant dheeli ho gyiโ€ฆ coz its the souvenir streetโ€ฆ he had hard times keeping me off those windowsโ€ฆ As darkness fell, Szimpla Kert brought out Budapestโ€™s quirky sideโ€ฆ.before the Vampire Walking Tour took us through medieval streets filled with legends, mysteries, and stories that donโ€™t always make it into history books. ๐Ÿ‡ญ๐Ÿ‡บ Budapest Diaries | Day 1 Finally, made it to Budapest on 17th July. โœจ A delayed journey couldnโ€™t steal the excitement. After checking in and grabbing a quick lunch (Hungary and Sausage has a good chemistry trust me), we stepped out with one goalโ€ฆ เฆถเงเฆงเง เฆนเฆพเฆเฆŸเฆฌ เฆ†เฆฐ เฆถเฆนเฆฐ เฆŸเฆพ feel เฆ•เฆฐเฆฌเฅค (yup I think bus no 11 is pretty convincing for me, spaziergang machen!) เฆธเง‡ เฆ—เงเฆกเฆผเง‡ เฆฌเฆพเฆฒเฆฟ..thanks to our AirBNB and the AC.. hum too bhaisaab ghoda bech ke so gye for 3 hoursโ€ฆ(slept like log after all a Goan married a Bong, both equally lazy peopleโ€ฆ susegad + lyadh) Started with the Danube Promenade at 7PM crossed the iconic Chain Bridge, watched the city slowly turn golden as the sun went down, and ended the evening with delicious Hungarian food. Last evening felt like stepping into another world. Though its hard to make me listen to western classical accept when its Saxophoneโ€ฆbut this time Cello just blew mah mind! Thanks to @candlelight.concerts In the glow of candlelight, violins and cellos breathed new life into Queen and ABBA and somehow every note felt both nostalgic and entirely new. Somewhere between Dancing Queen and Bohemian Rhapsodyโ€ฆevery string felt like a heartbeat. Familiar songs turned into something fragile and breathtaking.
