My wife and I just spent 2 nights at @thehotel1928 by @chipgaines and @joannagaines we usually go to @thehotelemma but decided to try out hotel 1928. The room was horrible, stains everywhere on the carpet, felt so dirty. Questionable stain on the decorative bed pillow. And what looked like water damage near the vent with condensation dripping on the floor. The hotel staff and GM kept saying they were sorry for the conditions, that they admit the carpet needs replacement but they couldnt move us due to no other availability. No offer to discount our stay, no “hey, let us get u dinner at the hotel restaurant on us for the conditions”…just “sorry, it’s not our standards…”. We booked this two months in advanced. Not a cheap stay. I’ve seen lower tier hotels rooms in better shape. Such a disappointing experience and needless to say, we regret not just going to our usual preferred high end hotel @thehotelemma . Customer service at Hotel 1928 is disappointing, the attention to details were disappointing, my brother in law said he was at the hotel cafe this morning when we were going to checkout and a roach crawled up his leg, 😒👀🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ I thought Chip and Joanne would take more pride in something they have their names on, guess we learned a good lesson with expectations and we should’ve done more homework @nbcdfw @wacohappenings @magnolia @fox4news #magnolia #chipandjoannagaines #wacotx #hotel1928 #hotelemma by @maddux_oc
