POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

From heartbreak to the national stage.
Maddy Eliadis — Class of 2027

Just 18 months ago, Maddy was on the verge of leaving basketball behind. Grieving the loss of her biggest role model—her dad—she battled low confidence, self-doubt, and uncertainty about her place in the game. But through countless early mornings, a refusal to let setbacks define her and unmatched energy, she’s rewritten her story.

Now, Maddy has earned her place on the NZ U16 national team and will proudly represent her country on the international stage—a testament to resilience, fierce competitiveness, and belief built one step at a time.

Maddy’s journey is a powerful reminder that growth isn’t linear, but it’s always worth it. We’re incredibly proud of how far she’s come—and even more excited for all that lies ahead.

In two days time Maddy jets off to compete at the u17 World Cup.

While everyone else around her is constantly impressed by all the improvements she’s made, Maddy sometimes forgets that not long ago quitting for cricket was on the cards 🤣

In just over two years she transformed from someone outside of all state programs in u16’s into a player more than capable of competing at an international level.

No matter what happens over the next few weeks, she’s already achieved something remarkable. If she plays with courage, trusts her training and gives everything she’s got, she can leave proud of what she’s accomplished.

More importantly, she’ll continue to be a source of inspiration for the countless young boys and girls who see what’s possible through hard work and resilience.

Best of luck D1

Excited to be working with @sportsclinicmelbourne as part of their new partnership with @plusonebasketball.

Ive been learning & working on the little 1% gains that will help improve my game—perfecting gym form, understanding recovery, load management, and nutrition.

Such a great opportunity for Plus1 athletes to level up and train smarter, not just harder. Grateful for the discount that The Sports Clinic of Melbourne is giving to Plus1 athletes.. 💪🏀 taken in Prahan by @maddy.eliadis

Despite a tough loss to Kilsyth, Melbourne Tigers guard Maddy Eliadis showed why she’s one of the most promising young guards coming through the game. Defending at a high level, creating for teammates and putting pressure on the scoreboard all game long 👀

The future is bright for the Tigers guard. ⭐️
