Body image has been one of my biggest battles. I can still remember showering in the dark as a kid because I didn’t want to see myself.

Learning to embrace my body type for what it is, while also striving to be the strongest, fittest and healthiest version of myself hasn’t always come easy to me.

The last 12–24 months have required lifestyle changes I once thought I’d never be capable of making. Now, they’re simply part of my everyday.

I did it for me.

12kg down from this time last year, but this journey was never about a number on the scales. It was about becoming the best version of me and loving who I saw in the mirror.

For the first time, I can look at photos of myself playing football and smile. Not because I’m now perfect. Because I know how hard I’ve worked.

To the little girls & boys out there who struggle, I hope you know I see you. Be kind to one another, but mostly, be kind to yourself. ❤️ by @maddy_prespakis

She beat me at my own game. I had organised a family photoshoot as I wanted beautiful family photos hanging in our new home once Essie was now a bit older. I’d organised everything from the outfits, to my hair/makeup, the reference shots for what I wanted, to the photographer & videographer. Everything. Or so I thought… my Madsy girl had planned the best part yet & the kids were all in on it for months 😭 I’ve been in love with you for so long now and I can’t wait to be your wife @maddy_prespakis by @maddy_prespakis
