Our little mermaid is on her way!!!

Baby Amara was showered with so much love at our baby shower last Sunday! Our hearts were full of hightened emotions and had the best day surrounded by our family and friends. As we get closer to welcoming baby 🎀girl, I feel incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful village.
THANK YOU TO ALL MY FRIENDS who came out to celebrate with us and for spoiling baby Amara with your generosity. It is sincerely appreciated and not one second overlooked.

I am filled with mixed emotions: joy, happiness, excitement, wholeness, anxiety, fear, honor, anticipation. I never thought in a million years I would have the opportunity to be a father. I’ve dreamed about it, but always wanted to be sure that I was ready mentally, physically and spiritually. However, I will never be completely ready. It has been a tough four years following my wife’s miscarriage in 2020. To see her in that amount of immense pain was hard to bear. The past year we have been using the arts of science for fertility assistance. After two failed IUI’s and one IVF, we are ecstatic to become proud parents of a miracle baby. I am also so happy that my wife has the opportunity to become a mother. The road was rocky, but remaining positive with good intentions made the end result even sweeter. This is just a testimony to anyone who is having a difficult time conceiving. It can and will happen. Embrace the hard times, be grateful for the process, and know that any and everything is possible. Bliss. #newborn #baby #mother #father by @maddymadd757

I’ve been battling to gain weight the past year. Being that I’m plant-based and exercise, it has been difficult to hold weight let alone gain it. The past month I have been eating 2 avocados with my fruit for breakfast, and have gained 5 solid pounds to equate to a whopping 187lbs. I’ve always been slender and only gained weight 10 plus years ago due to a horrible diet. Avocados contain healthy fats and are loaded with calories to maintain weight, but also has monounsaturated fats which will increase fat burning. It’s a win-win.
