Still trying to find the words to describe my love & my relationship with my pawpaw.

He was someone I could always rely on, someone who I undoubtedly know lifted me up to the Lord everyday, someone who loved me with more love than I could comprehend. He called me often to pray over me and encourage me through every season.

He was goofy & wise & determined & caring & passionate. He loved LSU tigers and spending time with his family. He loved his dogs and he loved his sweet treats.

When I gave him the book “Moments with the Savior”, he told me how grateful he was for it. He read it every day and would call me to tell me which story he was on. He loved to read it and grow in understanding of the Father’s love.

LSU games and trips back home will never be the same but I feel grateful to have such fond memories to hold on to of his laughter, his encouragement, and his wisdom.

I’m grieved to lose him so quickly but my heart is equally filled with joy knowing he has arrived in the presence of our King. I know he is dancing and laughing and feasting with Abba.

I’m just so blessed to be his granddaughter and to have called him mine. ❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹 by @maddymccord
